What are the benefits of performing Umrah?

Umrah is known as to be a lesser pilgrimage and it is a Sunnah which can be performed at any time of year except for 5 days of Hajj (Annual pilgrimage). Umrah is such worship which continues throughout the year. Millions of Muslims travel to Makkah Saudi Arabia after buying Cheap Umrah Package due to perform Umrah and the number of pilgrimages (Umrah performers) is increasing day by day.

What is the mystery behind to perform Umrah?

There are a lot of benefits for pilgrims (performers of Umrah) but we only discuss here in light of Hadiths.

Being Allah Guest:

A hadith is narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) state:

“The guests of Allah are 3:

Ghazi (a warrior who only fights in the way an Allah and this is called jihad),

Hajji (pilgrim who performs Hajj), and Mutamir (pilgrim who performs Umrah)”.

    (Sunan An-Nasai, Vol.3)

Remove the Sins:

When mankind breaks the rule of nature then he/she make a bad deed which is called a Sin. Umrah gives a chance of every mankind to remove sins which have committed in his/her past, so thereby anyone can free his/her soul from the burden of past committed sins.

A beautiful Hadith which is narrated by Abu Huraira (RA) that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated:

“From one Umrah to another is expatiation for what comes in between, and Hajj Al-Mabrur brings no reward less than Paradise”.

Another Hadith which is also narrated by Abu Huraira (RA), Holy Prophet (PBUH) stated:

"An Umrah to another Umrah will be the redemption of sins for whatever (minor) happens between them".

Removes Poverty:

Umrah is a best worship and Sunnah which removes poverty.

A Hadith in which our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Perform Hajj and Umrah consecutively, for they remove poverty and sin as hollers remove impurity from iron”.

This Hadith tells us that How Umrah removes poverty. Umrah is a journey to the site of Makkah which is a city of Saudi Arabia. There are some things needed to complete this journey, as like some things had been requiring since 1400 years ago. Hazrat Ayesha (RA) said:

Reward equivalent to Jihad:

Jihad is a great act in Islam and the reward of jihad is martyrdom. According to some scholars, nowadays, there is no actively jihad in which Muslims can take part but the performance of Umrah is equivalent to jihad in the term of reward.

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said at another moment:

“Jihad of the elderly, the weak and the woman is undertaking the Hajj and Umrah”.
